VoIP Ranks will provide you with the most comprehensive and unbiased reviews available on the web today. Each one of the listed providers has been tried and tested by myself. You will find that the rating and placement of the Internet Phone Service Providers may change frequently based on any number of factors. I have been utilizing VoIP for the past 6 years, and have taken all the guesswork out choosing the best VoIP service providers for you. These reviews and ratings take into consideration: plan pricing, features, call quality, tech support, and the overall level of satisfaction with the Internet Phone Service. The overall satisfaction will be based on a maximum 5 star rating, and will be included with each review. Please note that each individual experience can differ, as there are outside factors such as the users ISP, that may affect the Internet Phone Service quality differently for each subscriber. My VoIP reviews are based on a High-Speed Cable Internet Connection, using a regular touch-tone phone. If you need to check your Internet speed, Click Here!!

VoIPo was a much anticipated Internet Service Provider that spent almost 2 years in Beta before full release. It looks like it paid off. VoIPo has become one of the most reliable VoIP services I have tested and used. At this point, if I was forced to choose one Internet Phone service, it would be VoIPo due to the quality of service, overall customer service, and the price point. It is a great value whether you choose to pre-pay $99 for a year of Unlimted service, or just pay monthly at $15. Combine that with the low cost to get started(FREE Equipment, Activation, and Shipping), and this VoIP provider is at the top of my provider list. No real complaints here. Start Saving Money Today!!
I have utilized Phone Power for almost 2 years now, and have had a great experience with them. They have a great price point at $199 for a year of Unlimited Phone Service, with a FREE YEAR of service included. This company has been expanding steadily since they entered the VoIP market, which is a great sign when the industry was slated to flat line starting in 2008-2009. Phone Power offers a great feature set, along with a second cloned phone line with their Unlimited calling plan. Their customer service has been great when I have needed to call, which has been rarely. If you want a great, reliable service, and don't mind pre-paying $199 for 2 years, then this is the VoIP provider for you.
ViaTalk is one of the most well-known, most traveled Internet Phone Service providers available today. They have always been known for their great features and rock bottom prices. I started using Viatalk in early 2006, and signed up for their $199 for a year of service, and received a free year of service. I added a year during a promotion. The service did have some issues early on, but they have since upgraded their network and the quality increased dramitcally. If you like features, this is the provider to go with. They have also recently released and iPhone app which allows you to control your service through a easy to use interface. ViaTalk also has a low monthly option if you do not like to pay upfront.
VoIP.com is another provider that I used but left for various support reasons. I used VoIP.com's Internet Phone Service for about a year and a half. The service is pretty solid, great price, and a good feature set. When I did need assistance, it was difficult to get things remedied in a timely fashion...whether it be billing or technical support. They built their brand on the name alone pretty much, and have started to improve the other aspects of their service. The International rates are very competitive, and have been since they entered the market. That was one reason I chose them, but since that time, other providers like VoIPo have included International minutes with their VoIP calling plans.
Phone.com is simply a solid VoIP provider. I started using and testing them for my home, but have since switched over to their Business VoIP plans. The amount of services they provide made this decision very easy. With both Phone.com's residential and business phone service, I have been more than satisified. The setup is easy, no billing issues so far, and the cusotmer service and tech support have been at the top of their game whenever I have needed to utilize them. If you are looking for one provider for your home and business, Phone.com would be the logical one-stop shop for your Phone Service needs. One of the top VoIP providers available.
Lingo is another Internet Phone Service provider that has been around for a long time. They are a division of Primus, which is one of the largest Telecom companies in the world. They are one of the first VoIP providers I signed up for, and do still utilize them for their International Calling. I was going to step away from them until they revamped their plans and introduce and Unlimited Calling Plan that includes calling to over 30 countires in the monthly pricing. For $21.95 per month, it is a great money saver if you are a frequent International caller. While other have International plans or good per-miunte rates, this one is the best hands down for the price.
VoIPYourLife is another Internet Phone Service provider that started out focusing on the residential market, but has since moved more toward a small-medium business model. Their residential plan rates aren't really competitive with other providers if you are looking to VoIP to save the most money on your existing phone bills. I used VoIPYourLife for about a year, and it was mostly to get experience with their service and support. I have them listed because they also have some solid International plans available, but for a little more cost than a VoIP provider like Lingo. Take a look at them, but I would recommend more for someone looking for a Hosted PBX for their business. Overall Good, Not Great.
